Reservations must be guaranteed by a credit card and a deposit including the card surcharge fee is collected in accordance to the deposit policy of the rate type booked. The mandatory merchant fee is charged at the following rates: Visa, Mastercard – 1.5%, American Express – 2.0%, JCB – 3.0%.
For groups booking more than 10 rooms, a 50% deposit for the rooms is required at the time of booking. All reservations are guaranteed until the day of arrival, but in the case of a no-show, the room may be reassigned.
Public Holidays and block-out dates may have a different cancellation policy. New Year bookings are always prepaid and non-refundable. Each rate has a specific cancellation and amendment policy, please refer to the selected rate's description at the time of booking for your reference. For bookings pre-paid through a partner website, refunds, amendments, or cancellation requests should also be made through the booking website used. All requests are subject to availability, but we will try our best to accommodate.
The booking credit card must be presented at check-in, along with a valid form of photo identification. The remaining accommodation charges will be settled at check-in, and a $50 pre-authorisation for any incidental charges is applied. This pre-authorisation amount is 'frozen' on your account and is automatically released by your bank. When your account has been settled, the remaining pre-authorisation is released back into your available funds.
If a $50 pre-authorisation cannot be provided, a $200 cash deposit is required. The cash bond is refunded at the time of check-out, less any incidental charges.
Our check-in time is from 2 pm and check-out is until 10 am. Early check-in and Late check-out may be arranged but is subject to availability may incur a charge.
If there are changes to the reservation’s departure date, the hotel requires 24 hours’ notice after check-in time otherwise there will be an applicable one-night fee.
You must be 18 years or older to make a booking. If you arrive at the hotel and are under 18 years of age, you will not be permitted to stay alone. We may require photo identification as proof of age.
Reservations can be charged back to a company or third-party credit card. If this card cannot be presented at check-in please email [email protected] to arrange for a secure payment link to settle the booking prior to the arrival date.
The Vulcan Hotel absolves itself from any responsibility for the loss of money or valuables left unattended in your room or vehicle. For the security of your valuables, a safe is accessible at the reception. Please note that we may collect personal information, including your name, email address, phone number, postal address, and credit card details, during various interactions such as reservations, check-ins, check-outs, or communications.
