Guarantee
Reservations must be guaranteed to a credit card. A one-night deposit per room, including a credit card surcharge, is charged to the booking credit card. This is a mandatory merchant fee and is charged at the following rates: Visa, Mastercard, American Express – 1.5%.
For groups booking more than 10 rooms, a 50% deposit for the rooms is required at the time of booking. All reservations are guaranteed until the day of arrival, but in the case of a no-show, the room may be reassigned.
Cancellation Policy
Public Holidays and block-out dates may have a different cancellation policy. New Year bookings are always prepaid and non-refundable.
Cancellation or amendments should be made before 12 pm of the day before arrival to avoid penalty fees.
For bookings pre-paid through a partner website, refunds, amendments, or cancellation requests should also be made through the booking website used.
Check-in
The booking credit card must be presented at check-in, along with a valid form of photo identification.
The remaining accommodation charges will be settled at check-in, and a $50 pre-authorisation for any incidental charges is applied. This pre-authorisation amount is 'frozen' on your account and is automatically released by your bank. When your account has been settled, the remaining pre-authorization is released back into your available funds. If the amount held is from an Australian Bank, this process can take up to five (5) business days, while International Banks can take up to several weeks.
If a $50 pre-authorisation cannot be provided, a $200 cash deposit is required. The cash bond is refunded at the time of check-out, less any incidental charges.
Our check-in time is from 2 pm, and early check-in may be arranged subject to availability. The check-out time is 10 am, and later check-out times are available subject to availability and may incur a charge.
You must be 18 years or older to make a booking. If you arrive at the hotel and are under 18 years of age, you will not be permitted to stay alone. We may require photo identification as proof of age.
Vulcan Hotel Has A Strict No Party Policy
Vulcan Hotel is committed to providing a peaceful and comfortable environment for all our guests.
As such, we have a strict no party policy. Only the registered guests will have access to the room.
In the event of any unauthorised parties or disturbances, we reserve the right to impose a cleaning fee, an additional person charge, or any charges necessary to compensate for any loss of revenue, particularly if a room cannot be resold due to the disturbance or damage.

Chargeback
Reservations can be charged back to a company or third-party credit card. If this card cannot be presented at check-in, a chargeback form/credit card authorization form must be completed and sent to the hotel prior to the guest's arrival. Car Parking
Secure car parking is available in the nearby UTS Car park on Thomas Street. We have a special negotiated rate of $25 per 24 hours. Car parking cannot be reserved at the time of booking.
The car park operator is not liable for any damage. The maximum height clearance is 2.1 meters.
If the car park is full, please ask the front desk for the closest parking option.
